I don't want to see anyone lose his job for stating his opinion, even though it is wrong in my opinion.
I do suspect a lot of the "unsubbers" just post a lot of hot air here, too.
I hate the idea of MTs having an impact on Gameplay and I want a definite no-no on that, too.
Especially buying skill points & faction standing.
Also: Unlike others here I am a supporter of WiS. I was so looking forward to e.g. own a bar in a remote space station somewhere one day.
Now, though, I imagine that would cost me (or someone else) a lot of RL money. I could afford it, but I would feel so stupid, I rather would not.
So in essence CCP is spoiling good new game features with stuff addressing the wrong audience. EVE players are somewhat special, EVE is special. That is what attracts players AND keeps them playing.
Once again: Take the uniqueness away and follow the MMO market mainstream and EVE will fail.

oO I wonder if there will be a "Riot Rant" memory T-Shirt in the NEX store soon... If I sell my whole fleet I might be able to afford it!

Quote: I know what.. Lets just say we will react to customer demand.. We KNOW they've always demanded skill point shortcuts.. Always, been the biggest complaint of new players..
Then we can honestly claim thet we are just being a responsive company, giving the players what they most want !
While any and every new player can decide for himself what he wants to do... I don't even see the uber-unfair advantage that older players have.
OK, the game is not attractive for players that need instant gratification, that's all.
But you cannot change it to an Asia-style P2W. It's not even the right market, I heard China has it's own server for EVE? ;)

He could just google a CEO draft, I guess. ;) All the CEO letters in my company read the same as Hilmar's in tone and style.
Too many cheap manager seminars and loss of contact with the customer basis do that to you.

Haaahahahaa Brilliant.......now c'mon CCP enough is enough. What ya got to say?
Yeah, no, it is not funny. It's a good movie, but has nothing to do with the situation, whatever subtitles you hastily paste in.
It's about as insulting as the Jew comment seen in this thread earlier...
It's also insulting to your own intellect, if you have any... Do not dabble with things you do not understand...

get a grip, its fugging hilarious, if it was that much an insult why did the film even come out gtfo
It's not the movie being the insult, it's people using it can't even understand German and don't know what the real dialogue is about.
Use Monty Python's "Mr Hilter" instead. Anyway, off topic. Anyone using this for the non-existent discussion/parley at hand is just showing he is stupid, so I will not comment anymore.

Cryptic (e.g. Star Trek Online) - bought by Perfect World.
CCP bought by Sony. I think they will see more potential in World of Darkness with teenie-vampires to be honest, than in a very good but non-mainstream EVE.
I played World of Darkness Vampire pen and paper very long. I wonder if generation will be defined by level or if you buy "Elder blood - -1 generation" in a shop then, while surrounded by misguided teenage Twilight watchers. ;)

Edited by: Aidan Brooder on 26/06/2011 17:52:15 If Sony is buying controlling action in CCP, all employees actually are under an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) until the deal is finalized, to prevent insider trading...
So, no, you would not hear from them until it is all over...
